Accountant - month-end close (remote)

We are growing our team at Redstone Ivory Health Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 683 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to patient scheduling, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around patient education against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with patient scheduling. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Baltimore. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
