Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Nova Drift Health Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for insurance authorisations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Clinicians and administrators work side by side. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to insurance authorisations, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
