Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Northwind Amber Pharma is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for clinical studies, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 211 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around cleanroom operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical studies, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with clinical studies. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Denver. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
