Accountant - month-end close (remote)

We are growing our team at Silverline Rook Staffing and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. Recruiters here keep in touch with people long after placement. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around temp assignments against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with candidate screening. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Tulsa. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
