Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Rivermark Timber Medical Group designs and makes medical devices in Savannah, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 31 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around complaint handling against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to device records, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with device records. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Savannah. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
