Accountant - month-end close (remote)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Mill Telecom and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to billing accounts, and clear open items. • Track costs around field visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with billing accounts. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Fresno. • We reply to every applicant.
