Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Rivermark Yarrow Facilities is a facilities company in Albuquerque with crews on day and night shifts. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. Clear communication between supervisors and crews matters. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around supply orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to contractor visits, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with contractor visits. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Albuquerque. • We reply to every applicant.
