Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Highbridge Pine Pharma develops and makes medicines in Pittsburgh, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. Quality is everyone's job here, not a department. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cleanroom operations, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around quality documentation against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with cleanroom operations. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Pittsburgh. • We reply to every applicant.
