Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Harborlight Willow Medical designs and makes medical devices in Anchorage. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around regulatory submissions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to training materials, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with training materials. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Anchorage. • We reply to every applicant.
