Accountant - month-end close (remote)

We are growing our team at Redstone Sable Markets Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to pricing, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around promotions against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with pricing. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Salt Lake City. • We reply to every applicant.
