Accountant - month-end close (remote)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Nest Medical and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 23 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to production lots, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around device records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
