Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Foxglove Willow Property Management is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for lease renewals, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 134 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around vendor invoices against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
