Accountant - month-end close (remote)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Mill Facilities and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. Clear communication between supervisors and crews matters. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supply orders, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Fort Worth. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
