Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Silverline Clear Health Group provides primary and specialty care in Birmingham. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. Continuing education is supported. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to insurance authorisations, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around referrals against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with insurance authorisations. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
