Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Stonegate Corner Construction Partners delivers building projects for owners across the Tucson region. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to subcontractor invoices, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around change orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with subcontractor invoices. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Tucson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
