Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Cedar Clear Hospitality operates hotels and event venues around Phoenix. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 738 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around guest bookings against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with housekeeping schedules. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Phoenix. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
