Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Rivermark Quill Hospitality Group operates hotels and event venues around Fresno, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 780 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around food costs against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to reviews and feedback, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with reviews and feedback. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Fresno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
