Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Lumen Rook Manufacturing Partners is a Pittsburgh manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around machine downtime against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer orders, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with customer orders.
