Accountant - month-end close (remote)

Bright Rowan Foods Group makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Tulsa, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cold storage, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with cold storage. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Tulsa. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
