Accountant - month-end close (Raleigh, NC)

Highbridge Lakeside Care Services Group is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Raleigh. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to licensing, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around visit scheduling against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with licensing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Raleigh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
