Accountant - month-end close (Raleigh, NC)

Bright Cobalt Learning Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for student accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Families are partners. What you will do • Track costs around enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with student accounts. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Raleigh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
