Accountant - month-end close (Providence, RI)

Bluepeak Rowan Care Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for family communication, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Teams support each other, especially on hard days. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around client records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to family communication, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with family communication. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
