Accountant - month-end close (Pittsburgh, PA)

Northwind Drift Facilities Associates is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for supply orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 438 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around safety inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with supply orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We reply to every applicant.
