Accountant - month-end close (Pittsburgh, PA)

Foxglove Lantern Medical Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for device records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Documentation is part of the craft. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around production lots against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with device records. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
