Accountant - month-end close (Pittsburgh, PA)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Ridge Manufacturing and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 96 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to tooling, and clear open items. • Track costs around production lines against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Pittsburgh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
