Accountant - month-end close (Pittsburgh, PA)

Silverline Loom Pharma is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for release testing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 123 people based in Pittsburgh. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to release testing, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around cleanroom operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Pittsburgh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
