Accountant - month-end close (Phoenix, AZ)

Foxglove Quarry Transit Planning is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for accessibility audits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 198 people based in Phoenix. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to accessibility audits, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with accessibility audits. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Phoenix. • We reply to every applicant.
