Accountant - month-end close (Oklahoma City, OK)

Highbridge Umber Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Oklahoma City, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field visits, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with field visits. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Oklahoma City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
