Accountant - month-end close (Oklahoma City, OK)

Silverline Cedar Facilities cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Oklahoma City. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to work orders, and clear open items. • Track costs around cleaning schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Oklahoma City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
