Accountant - month-end close (Nashville, TN)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Ridge Staffing and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. Speed and follow-up matter. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to timekeeping, and clear open items. • Track costs around retention against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with timekeeping. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Nashville. • We reply to every applicant.
