Accountant - month-end close (Nashville, TN)

Foxglove Clear Care Services Partners is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Nashville. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around caregiver training against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to licensing, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Nashville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
