Accountant - month-end close (Nashville, TN)

Amberfield Corner Auto Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for warranty claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Technicians are respected and trained. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to warranty claims, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around vehicle inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with warranty claims. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Nashville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
