Accountant - month-end close (Minneapolis, MN)

Foxglove Bright Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Minneapolis area, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 79 people based in Minneapolis. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to school calendars, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around attendance records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with school calendars.
