Accountant - month-end close (Minneapolis, MN)

Lumen Sable Auto Group operates automotive service and parts businesses around Minneapolis. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 137 people based in Minneapolis. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to vehicle inspections, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with vehicle inspections.
