Accountant - month-end close (Milwaukee, WI)

Nova Corner Medical Group is a Milwaukee company producing monitoring and surgical equipment. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. Patient safety shapes every decision. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around production lots against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with device records. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Milwaukee. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
