Accountant - month-end close (Milwaukee, WI)

We are growing our team at Northwind Oak Facilities and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. Our crews keep other people's buildings running and we treat them well. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with customer sites. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Milwaukee. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
