Accountant - month-end close (Miami, FL)

Clearpath Corner Construction is a Miami contractor with project managers, trades and support staff. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around safety records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
