Accountant - month-end close (Miami, FL)

Silverline Corner Community Partners is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for client intake, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 686 people based in Miami. What you will do • Track costs around benefits enrolment against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to client intake, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with client intake. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Miami. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
