Accountant - month-end close (Miami, FL)

Clearpath Bridge Freight is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 48 people based in Miami. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around proof of delivery against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Miami, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
