Accountant - month-end close (Miami, FL)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Wren Energy Group and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. Safety comes first on every shift. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to outage response, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Miami. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
