Accountant - month-end close (Miami, FL)

We are growing our team at Silverline Cross Facilities and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 177 people based in Miami. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around safety inspections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supply orders, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with supply orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Miami. • We reply to every applicant.
