Accountant - month-end close (Miami, FL)

Greenridge Vista Early Learning runs childcare centres in Miami caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Miami. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around family communication against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with meal programmes. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Miami, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
