Accountant - month-end close (Miami, FL)

Greenridge Thistle Early Learning Group is an early-learning provider in Miami, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 114 people based in Miami. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around licensing records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to enrolment, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with enrolment. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Miami. • We reply to every applicant.
