Accountant - month-end close (Miami, FL)

Bluepeak Juniper Banking Services is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for card disputes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Miami. What you will do • Track costs around branch operations against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with card disputes. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
