Accountant - month-end close (Louisville, KY)

Bluepeak Linden Hospitality Group operates hotels and event venues around Louisville, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around group events against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with food costs. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Louisville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
