Accountant - month-end close (Louisville, KY)

Clearpath Timber Financial is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for customer onboarding, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Career paths are clear. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with customer onboarding. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
