Accountant - month-end close (Louisville, KY)

Nova Rowan Legal Group is looking for an Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for billing records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around court deadlines against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with billing records. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Louisville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
