Accountant - month-end close (Louisville, KY)

We are growing our team at Clearpath Basin Facilities and adding an Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. Clear communication between supervisors and crews matters. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to cleaning schedules, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around contractor visits against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with cleaning schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Louisville. • We reply to every applicant.
