Accountant - month-end close (Little Rock, AR)

Northwind Quarry Arts Center Group runs a venue and education programmes in Little Rock. We are hiring an Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Little Rock. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around school partnerships against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with exhibitions. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Little Rock, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
