Accountant - month-end close (Little Rock, AR)

Foxglove Rook Staffing places workers with employers around Little Rock, and we need an Accountant to lead our month-end close. We are in the people business and act like it. What you will do • Track costs around client orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to retention, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with retention. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Little Rock. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
